Pastoral Support

Ofsted rated personal development, behaviour & welfare – “OUTSTANDING”

How we can help.

Life is not always easy – we all have our share of emotional challenges and sometimes may need support.

At Turing House Sixth Form we believe that positive well-being and good mental health will help you fulfil your potential and ultimately be successful.  At times we all suffer setbacks, disappointments and challenges. We hope that with our support and your resilience, we can work together to help you cope when life is tough or when things don’t go your way.

If you are struggling, do not go it alone.  Share your concerns – there is no shame in asking for help.

Turing House Sixth Form is a friendly, safe and happy school where respect for each other is at the forefront of our values.   If you ever have any worries, concerns or problems at school or at home, ask for help and we will do all we can to help resolve it.

The Hub – We have a dedicated team of experienced staff who you can speak to at any time. Parents/carers are welcome to contact them if they have any concerns about your well-being or you are too anxious to speak to them directly.

Tutor – You will see them every day of your school career; they are here to help and to ensure that you make good progress. If you have any concerns or worries why not try talking to them first.

Designated Safeguarding Lead – Mrs Collins

Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead – Mrs Poynton

If you have a serious concern about your own or a friend’s well-being please speak to them.

All staff at Turing House are here to help you.  You can trust them to do the right thing and ensure that you get the help/support you need.

School Nurse & other support

We also have a school nurse who you can see with any well-being or health concerns.  They are in school every Tuesday and you can self-refer via the The Hub or Main Office for an appointment.  Drop in sessions may also be available each week.
